A picture is worth a thousand words  →
I agree with Fred, they put a fun spin on stats @tumblr and I feel like that is just the tone that vibrates throughout everyone that works at tumblr. They do this monthly and in their own quirky way and well curated so as not to give too much information out — just the facts ma’am.

McGraw-Hill CEO Confirms Apple Tablet With... →
I can’t believe this guy spilled the beans; no offense to the CEO of McGraw-Hill, Harold McGraw III, but personally if I were Apple and you did this to me? I’d cut the cord on our B2B contract because I bet you just broke it.

Windows 3.1 in XHTML & AJAX →
Michael Vincent did an amazing job with putting this together and omitting the obviously useless items. This put a smile on my face as I have not seen this interface in front of me since I had a 486 in front of me. =)

AMD makes first profit in 13 quarters →
I remember the days when AMD clock cycle for clock cycle beat out Intel’s and were cheaper processors — I remember feeling like AMD was the best kept secret of the trade and that Intel was only popular due to its massive advertisement funding. What happened AMD? 13 quarters? Most companies wouldn’t even last after 13 quarters of loss, so congrats and let’s kick it into top...

iPhone App Saves Man Trapped in Haiti →
I still believe on top of the App he bought he could have gone on Gowalla, Add his GPS location, and sent out a HELP! message to be posted on Twitter and Facebook to be rescued in 5h not 65h. #justsayin

Whitehouse.gov iPhone app →
I have never seen cleaner, or more crisp videos on the iPhone than everything supplied on this app. Only thing missing us Twitter and Facebook sharing, for now email will do. Finally an easy way to stay on top of everything going on mobile.

A good friend of mine passed this one, apparently found it floating around carsonified.com. Nice short and informative videos by two knowledgeable individuals. Not quite Boagworld or CSS-Tricks but still up-and-coming.

Magic Mouse Review (Day 1) →
Tim Vann Damme gives his first impressions of the Magic Mouse, seems to be the general consensus all around from everyone else who I have heard has one already too. Great article Tim! Warning fan boy perspective!

It makes me sort of disappointed when I hear about college courses for web design and development that are teaching students how to write obsolete code. I develop front end code for a company in New…

Great arguments, deceiving title. Reddit.com →
Please excuse the language used in this headline! The reason I am potsing this is because of a great comment by Reddit user, This is a classic ploy by the Nobel Committee to shame the recipient into changing his behavior. I’ve seen this drama played out many times in my long life — someone who is obviously not a peacenik gets the Prize and feels tremendous pressure to live up to the...

Everyone I @followed from Digg, left the party! →
It always amazes me when someone I follow on Twitter with a really impressive amount of skills leaves those positions. When Doug Bowman left Google I cheered (he also had a great set of articles about it) because he left when he knew enough was enough. I believe Joe Stump, the now prior Lead Architect of Digg, was the first to leave Kevin Rose’s company Digg in May of 2009 to start...

Microsoft: Google Chrome Frame makes IE less... →
Somehow I knew this was never going to make it far but I did not think Microsoft themselves were going to come out and say this! “With Internet Explorer 8, we made significant advancements and updates to make the browser safer for our customers,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Ars. It took until IE8 for them to actually fully support HTML4, wonder how long it will take to support HTML5,...

I am surprised that we honestly were not aware of this discovery by now; although now that I think about it we are even more unaware of what is at the deepest bottom of our own oceans. Fantastic breaking news though!

The Star Wars Official Soundboard →
This is hugely awesome; it appears all the audio was taken without the score so there are some really great clips here. Not to mention they give you a two channel mixer so you can add some Darth Vader and Yoda shouting matches! This mixed with some Rare Star Wars Photos and random photo fun has made this a pretty intergalactic day!
